Join Stephanie & Alissa for 2 hours of complete bliss and give yourself the biggest gift of self love during this Mother’s Day weekend - rest and relaxation.
We will start with a meditation to center our mind and body to prepare us 60 minutes of restorative yoga. Then, we will transition into 45 minutes of sound-infused yoga nidra.
Restorative yoga is the centering of your breath and body - aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. The use of props assist in helping you to hold poses longer. There are many benefits of restorative yoga, including: Enhances flexibility. Deeply relaxes the body. Stills the mind. Improves capacity for healing and balancing. Balances the nervous system. Boosts the immune system. Develops qualities of compassion and understanding toward others and self. Enhances mood states.
Nidra is a conscious deep yogic sleep that promotes deep relaxation, enhances creativity, improves concentration and focus, helps refresh your mind, is more effective than a nap, and resets adrenals. The benefits of Nidra are many, but include relief of stress-related disorders, hypertension, insomnia, trauma, and anxiety. During Nidra, the body and mind are fully relaxed. You will lay comfortably on a yoga mat, in a comfortable position, eyes closed, while you are guided through the experience. Additionally, this Nidra will incorporate the delicious sounds and vibrations of singing bowls.
